This summer Junior High students will become actively involved in the restoration of the San Marcos River through Stewardship Academy Summer Day Camps. During these camps students will learn about exotic species and their negative affect on our habitat. Students will remove Honeysuckle and Elephant Ears from the Wetlands Boardwalk, hone their canoeing skills while collecting water hyacinth and water lettuce, replant native species, participate in a trash cleanup, and learn how to control erosion. Students will be rewarded for their hard work with fun recreational activities. See a list of camp highlights below. For more information see Aquarena Educational Summer Camps.
