Aquarena Center's Glass-bottom Kayak Tour Program is an intimate way to learn about the interconnections of water to all living things and an fun opportunity to visit and explore Spring lake. There is the option of a 1-hour or 2-hour guided tour. Participants will become familiar with the cultural history of the area around the headwaters of the San Marcos River along with the rules and regulations protecting Spring Lake's critical habitat to 8 listed endangered and threatened species.

The Glass-bottom Kayaks are stable sit-on-top ocean kayaks and the lake is smooth, flat water, making this tour comfortable and easy for all types and ages. We request that you have some prior paddling experience due to the critical habitat you will be paddling in. Our equipment is rate to 400-450lbs and the kayak seat is approximately 24 inches wide. While our trips are not strenuous, good health and fitness are recommended as you will be paddling your own boat and must be able to get in and out of the kayak with little assistance. See our FAQ for more information. Tours are offered daily, mornings, afternoons and some evenings. All tours require a reservation in advance, deposit and 48 hours notice of cancellation for a deposit refund. Tours dates are not guarranteed until a confirmation notice from Aquarena had been processed and recieved by reserving party. |
